Shifting to Authenticity
If you have grown up a people pleaser, then there is a very real chance that identity is no longer serving you, and you’re being called to higher heights.
A major event has even forced you to take off the blinders and focus on “What is,” versus “What could be.” Certainly when you seek to start behaving differently and living in your truth, people may begin to find an exit out of your life or make a dramatic shift. Let that be of no concern to you. Some of those relationships were only feeding your self-destruction and shame. Don’t be afraid to begin again. See where God is leading you and trust when you are aligned to your true self, the right relationships will follow.
I thank you for being the constant in my life during this season of uncertainty and change. Thank you for being the strength in my weakest moments. Give me the courage to stop my self-destructive relationship with myself, and the courage to take action with others who are aligned to the path you wish for me to follow.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Perhaps it’s time to get honest with your loved ones and let them know how you’re feeling. Change is on the horizon, and while it may be heartbreaking to leave, you are now free to figure out what you need.
